Mission

CORC researchers carry out advanced studies in the solution of difficult, large-scale optimization problems, with special focus on state-of-the-art implementation of modern algorithms. We are primarily interested in the solution of problems with practical relevance, and we actively seek collaboration with industrial partners.

Scheduling Algorithms in Broadcasting

Funding

The work of CORC's researchers has been supported in part by the National Science Foundation, and by several leading research laboratories, including AT&T, IBM, Lucent and Telcordia; and by grants from Intel and ILOG.

Conferences

CORC holds a yearly symposium, the Columbia Optimization Day. These symposia bring together internationally renowned scientists from academia and industry, representing a broad cross-section of the optimization field.
